I.  INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AND SYMPOSIUM
ON SYNCHROTRON RADIATION IN NATURAL SCIENCE
held 13-21 May, 1992, in Jaszowiec, POLAND
    The 1st International School and Symposium on Synchrotron Radiation in natural Science, ISSRNS'94 was held in Jaszowiec, Poland, at the "Gwarek" hotel between the 13th and the 21st of May, 1992. Organized by the Polish Synchrotron Radiation Society, it  was the first International School introducing the biennial cycle of SR users meetings in Poland. The scope of the ISSRNS'92 was to serve as a forum for discussing fundamental issues in the field of synchrotron radiation in natural science. Among the objectives of the School were also to provide to scientists from Poland and other countries (especially from the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) an opportunity to meet and discuss interesting aspects of application of the SR in their research programs, and to propagate the experimental techniques based on synchrotron radiation in various branches of science like e.g. physics, chemistry, materials scence, molecular biology, medicine, etc.

    The scientific program covered the following topics related to the application of synchrotron radiation:

    The manuscripts of the invited lectures and contributed papers have been published in two volumes of the journal Acta PhysicaPolonica A  vol.82 nos 1/2,.
